Taxes can be stressful, hand over the receipts and let me calculate the bill (or refund!).
Services Provided
- Individual 1040 Tax Preparation – what most people with regular employment owe to the IRS in April. Your individual return could be as simple as a 1040 or as complicated as multiple schedules, forms and calculation workpapers. Disregarded single member LLC’s (one of the most common small business organization types) would also fall under this category.
- Business Level Tax Preparation – for small business owners who are involved in the organization of tax documents for businesses organized as corporations or partnerships
- Payroll Tax Processing – Forms such as the 941 or 940 for Federal tax, WT-6 or WT-7 for Wisconsin state income tax, 1040-ES for self employment tax estimated payments and other miscellaneous forms required for proper payroll tax related filings.
Process
For individual or business level tax returns, please give me a call at 715.419.1058 or email our inbox at info@cgreenecpa.com. DO NOT include any sensitive information like social security numbers or tax documents in your email! Just let me know that you are interested in engaging in tax services and generally what kind of return you might have, for example you are a W2 employee with student loans and some dividend income. I will then reach back out to you to schedule a call or video call to go over the additional information I would need from you. I do not meet in person with clients unless extenuating circumstances require it. We will communicate via phone call, video call, email and secure file exchange. You will need to sign an engagement letter before any work begins.
From this point, most clients will fill out an intake form to gather general details about your tax situation, be set up in our document repository system and will begin to submit the required documents to the portal. It is preferable if you are able to provide a prior year’s tax return, but not required, especially for basic returns. Work will commence on your return and once the return is ready to be reviewed by you, you will receive a notification via your preferred method of communication indicating you should review the documents for accuracy. Once your document has been approved by yourself, a final bill will be issued and upon payment, the documents will be filed or released to you for filing. It is the clients responsibility to make payment to the taxing agency if payment is due. Refunds due back to the client will be sent directly to the client.
For payroll processing tax reports, please either call me at 715.419.1058 or email our inbox at info@cgreenecpa.com with your current needs and I will respond with applicable follow up questions depending on what form(s) you require. Generally the information needed can be pulled via reports out of your payroll processing software, but for clients not using a software like Quickbooks there may be additional work required.
Cost
Services are charged based on the volume of forms required to be filed to be in compliance with accurately reporting tax withheld and/or owed to the specific taxing agency. Generally speaking, the below schedules and forms have additional sub-schedules or forms that need to be filled out to accurately get to the final amount on the main schedule or form. The prices include an assumption that additional sub-schedule or partner forms will need to be filled out. Prices shown are valid for the 2027 filing season (for wages earned and expenses incurred for calendar year 2026) only if client provides all requested documentation at the time of signing the engagement letter at least 30 days in advance of the filing deadline. Prices increase after this window has passed.
